Bondurant Project Bluejay – Amazon Center

During the construction of Amazon’s first-ever fulfillment center in Iowa, V&K provided a full-service plan review and building inspection for the City of Bondurant throughout the process. Originally known as “Project Bluejay,” the 3.8 million-square-foot facility was constructed on the city’s south side, a massive four-floor enclosure large enough for nearly 66 football fields. Construction began in October 2019 with 12-hour work days. The fulfillment center was substantially completed in October 2020 and was fully operational by December 2020.
