Position Description

We are currently seeking a full-time CAD TECHNICIAN/DESIGN-DRAFTER in our CORALVILLE or CEDAR RAPIDS office. Our team works with local communities on a wide range of civil, municipal, and environmental projects. We are looking for a CAD Technician / Design Drafter who would work with Project Managers, other CAD Technicians, Construction Observers, Land Survey Chiefs, and office staff in various capacities.

Responsibilities

• Utilize primarily AutoCAD C3D CAD software to perform detailed drafting and design of civil and municipal projectsincluding plan preparation
• Work on a Team to develop and QA Civil Engineering Plan Sets
• Work primarily in an office setting, with a CAD Workstation.
• Ability to prioritize workflow and keep project schedules
• Miscellaneous office and technology tasks as necessary
• Managing individual and Team library of CAD design details
• Stay current on latest CAD technology and trends

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related degree required
• 2+ years of civil/municipal engineering CAD drafting preferred
• Candidates with additional experience are encouraged to apply
• Prior experience with CAD Surface Modeling preferred
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D required
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a consulting environment on a Team setting
