Veenstra & Kimm, Inc can provide inspection of the condition of coating and substrate of any concrete and steel structure which includes water, wastewater facilities, and elevated storage tanks. Veenstra & Kimm, Inc has a Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC) certified Coating Specialist on staff.

During a coating assessment we complete visual and physical testing on the coatings for cracking, peeling, blistering, total dry mil thickness, and the presence of hazardous material such as lead and chromium. Inspection of water storage facilities can be accomplished generally by limited, dry or a float down inspection.

After the coating accessment we can prepare a project specifications to include appropriate and correct coating selection for the desire services. The project specifications can also address lead and chromium containing coatings.

Veenstra & Kimm, Inc. can provide a coatings inspector for on site quality control to be sure the coatings contractor is completing the surface preparation and coating application is in compliance with project specifications, as surface preparation is the most important factor in coating longevity.
