Veenstra & Kimm, Inc.'s is widely known for our experience and expertise in the design of new and upgraded water treatment plants. Over the past 10 years Veenstra & Kimm, Inc. has completed the design of 20 new and upgraded water treatment plants. Veenstra & Kimm, Inc. brings experience with all of the major treatment technologies for filtration, softening and membrane treatment.

Our recent projects have included gravity and pressure filtration, utilizing both traditional and green sand media. Our experience with softening includes pressure zeolite softening and lime softening utilizing the solids contact basin and claricone technologies. Veenstra & Kimm, Inc.'s design department has completed the design of electrodialysis reversal (EDR) and nitrate removal through ion exchange.

Examples of our recent projects include the Lake View water treatment plant with pressure filtration and pressure ion exchange for nitrate removal, the Indianola Municipal Utilities water treatment plant with filtration and lime softening and the Carroll water treatment plant with filtration and provisions for future softening. Recent projects have ranged from less than $75,000 to more than $8,000,000 in total construction costs.
